Geologist
- BSc in Geology from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (2010);
- MSc in Geology from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (2012);
- PhD in Earth Sciences, with specialty in Applied Geology and Prospecting Methods, by the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto and the University of Aveiro (2023).
Consultant in Geology at Floradata since 2023, she has been performing functions aimed at geological, geomorphological, hydrogeological and pedological characterization. Since 2011, Rita has participated in several research projects, with highlights to the project “Energy and Mobility for Sustainable Regions – EMSURE (CENTRO-07-0224-FEDER-002004)” by the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Coimbra, with a study of geothermy in Portugal, and the project “Os elementos radioativos em rochas do território continental português – recurso e aspetos ambientais” by IMAR, with the study of natural radioactivity – studies on radon (5 scientific articles with Scopus indexing).
She has a Doctoral degree with the theme “Estudo da Variabilidade geológico geotécnica dos perfis de alteração do granito do Porto”, which aims for the pedological, geolological and geotechnical caracterization of the granite of Porto.
